China’s Problems from the View of Modernity
——Jameson and China’s Modernity
Abstract: Based on a description of the theoretical framework of Modernity in the West (especially the revived research on modernity), the essay summarizes the main characteristics of Jameson’s Modernity theory and analyzes the relationship between the theory and China’s way to modernity. essay points out the right choice we should make: By improving the problem awareness and focusing on the specific context of China, we should learn from the modernity experience of other countries and try to avoid repeating the mistakes so as to make a creative combination between borrowed theory and China’s modernity practice.
