ABSTRACT
This paper is focused on vitrified microsphere thermal insulation mortar.Based on existing literature, some sample of vitrified microsphere thermal insulation mortar is prepared. Next, by varying some of the important parameters, such as the amount of vitrified microsphere, fly ash, and polypropylene short fibers, several specimens for check test are molded. Then, the compressive strength, flexural strength, dry density and coefficient of thermal conductivity of the specimens are carefully measured and compared with findings of prior researches. Through a series of comparisons, the optimum proportion will be determined and the mortar function improved.The results show that when the content of the vitrified microsphere increased,the insulation performance improved, but it would reduce its sthranth; increase the amount of fly ash could improve the economy;when the mass fraction of polypropylen short fibers is 0.6%,the mortar performanced best.
